Spectators: 6783 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 0) Kemi's Eemil Timonen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Ossi Levokari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarkko Poikolainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eemil Timonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Tero Niemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kemi getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Leif Ryynänen hit a great ball. Jarkko Poikolainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvi Uhlbäck in the 12th minute of the match. Alvi Uhlbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Jarkko Poikolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaakob Karhunen's late challenge caught a Kemi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaakob Karhunen helped the player get up and apologised. Jaakob Karhunen hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Tero Niemi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Miikka Okkonen. In the 28th minute, Leif Ryynänen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tero Niemi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Reijo Manneroos hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Jarkko Poikolainen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ossi Levokari went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ossi Levokari in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jarkko Poikolainen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ossi Levokari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eemil Timonen in the 54th minute of play forced Tampere Sharks FC's goalkeeper Tero Niemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 minutes, Vilhelm Lähteenmäki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tampere Sharks FC and the Kemi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vilhelm Lähteenmäki kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Tampere Sharks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaakob Karhunen to maneuver through the defense. Tero Niemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raino Sauso, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Kemi's goal looked a bit too open when Ossi Levokari came free, but Jarkko Poikolainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Kemi defense, Alvi Uhlbäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarkko Poikolainen. The Kemi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarkko Poikolainen should have stopped the shot. Tampere Sharks FC's Tero Niemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eemil Timonen in the 72nd minute of play. Tero Niemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eemil Timonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jarkko Poikolainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ossi Levokari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Kemi's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alvi Uhlbäck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tero Niemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eemil Timonen in the 90th minute of play. Leif Ryynänen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tero Niemi came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kemi's Leif Ryynänen. But to his dismay, Leif Ryynänen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The Tampere Sharks FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kemi from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
