Aulis Kevari's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Topias Holtti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Aulis Kevari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topias Holtti having to interfere. After 24 minutes, Lasse Esala made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pokaalinmetsästäjät's Topias Holtti tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Markku Karhunen's late challenge caught a Nordic F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Markku Karhunen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th match minute, Pokaalinmetsästäjät was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markku Karhunen to maneuver through the defense. Lasse Esala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Topias Holtti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Nordic F.C.'s Lasse Esala got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kimi Kenig struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jyri Sjögren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pokaalinmetsästäjät. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lasse Esala to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, one of Pokaalinmetsästäjät:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pokaalinmetsästäjät. The goalkeeper, Topias Holtti, was totally fooled by Nordic F.C.'s Lasse Esala, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Topias Holtti made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lasse Esala sent off a good shot on target. After 67 played minutes Nordic F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aulis Kevari. It was beautiful to see Pokaalinmetsästäjät's Urho Anttila in action when he in the 69th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Pyry Pajula scored 3-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jyri Sjögren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Lasse Esala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Topias Holtti. Pokaalinmetsästäjät's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lasse Esala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. When Marko Vatanen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Nordic F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marko Vatanen couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pokaalinmetsästäjät's goalkeeper Topias Holtti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lasse Esala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Topias Holtti having to interfere. Nordic F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
