In the 47thth minute of the game Lasse Esala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tikkakoski's Pietari Kurri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Nordic F.C. got a corner. Tikkakoski's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lasse Esala ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

If Lasse Esala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Tikkakoski's Petteri Suoste got a free kick in the 56th minute. The supporters of Nordic F.C. booed when Tikkakoski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Heikkinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Lasse Esala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pietari Kurri was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The supporters of Nordic F.C. booed when Tikkakoski was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petteri Suoste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marko Vatanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pietari Kurri having to make a save. Nordic F.C.'s Petri Seppo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pietari Kurri didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lasse Esala went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Nordic F.C. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
