Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Rovaniemen pallo seura's Veeti Pyhältö got a free kick in the 13th minute. Valtteri Tallqvist was a little too slow when Julius Möksy got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jouni Petsamo in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valtteri Tallqvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Julius Möksy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rovaniemen pallo seura's supporters rose to their feet, but Julius Möksy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valtteri Tallqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julius Möksy was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Julius Möksy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valtteri Tallqvist was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, Höjdbackens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Jouni Petsamo came free, but Valtteri Tallqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Julius Möksy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Rovaniemen pallo seura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julius Möksy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Rovaniemen pallo seura players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
