Tero Niemi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Heikkinen got free with Tero Niemi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 17th minute, but Tero Niemi got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Tampere Sharks FC hanging dry this time. After 19 played minutes Tampere Sharks FC got a freekick which was hit by Ossi Levokari. In the 22nd minute, Reijo Manneroos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Tikkakoski's goal looked a bit too open when Ossi Levokari came free, but Pietari Kurri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Alvi Uhlbäck notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Tikkakoski's Pietari Kurri. Pietari Kurri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tikkakoski's Pietari Kurri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ossi Levokari in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Teemu Pihlajamäki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tikkakoski and the Tampere Sharks FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tikkakoski's Teemu Pihlajamäki got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Ossi Levokari charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ossi Levokari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Tikkakoski booed when Tampere Sharks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ossi Levokari didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reijo Manneroos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Ossi Levokari made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Tampere Sharks FC's Ossi Levokari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pietari Kurri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reijo Manneroos hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Marko Heikkinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Tikkakoski's zone, Alvi Uhlbäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pietari Kurri came out of the goal and Alvi Uhlbäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tero Niemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aarto Jokela, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Tikkakoski's Teemu Pihlajamäki got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Teemu Pihlajamäki off the ground. In the 69th minute, Teemu Pihlajamäki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marko Heikkinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tero Niemi having to interfere. With a little luck, Tikkakoski's Pietari Kurri got control of the ball when Alvi Uhlbäck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tero Niemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Heikkinen in the 81st minute of the match. A collision led to Tampere Sharks FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Jaakob Karhunen hit a great ball. Ossi Levokari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pietari Kurri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Ossi Levokari got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Aarto Jokela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Alvi Uhlbäck notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Tikkakoski's Pietari Kurri. Pietari Kurri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Marko Heikkinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tampere Sharks FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
