Spectators: 6788 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1788, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julius Möksy kicked off to start the match. When Veli Helin came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the EBK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Veli Helin couldn't finish the play. Esa Alin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Möksy, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Julius Möksy came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Rovaniemen pallo seura fans jumped to their feet. Julius Möksy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Esa Alin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Möksy in the 15th minute of play forced EBK's goalkeeper Esa Alin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jouni Petsamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the EBK defense, Jouni Petsamo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Esa Alin. The EBK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esa Alin should have stopped the shot. EBK's Esa Alin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius Möksy in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, EBK's Veli Helin got a free kick in the 30th minute. Julius Möksy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. Esa Alin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jouni Petsamo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julius Möksy took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Esa Alin. Esa Alin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in EBK's zone, Jouni Petsamo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esa Alin came out of the goal and Jouni Petsamo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jouni Petsamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. If Julius Möksy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Rovaniemen pallo seura were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Veli Helin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jouni Petsamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. Esa Alin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Möksy, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th match minute, Rovaniemen pallo seura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Hietalahti to maneuver through the defense. Julius Möksy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rdth minute of the game Julius Möksy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EBK's Esa Alin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jouni Petsamo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Esa Alin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 70 minutes into the match, EBK's goal looked a bit too open when Julius Möksy came free, but Esa Alin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esa Alin made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Jouni Petsamo sent off a good shot on target. Julius Möksy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Julius Möksy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but EBK's Esa Alin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jouni Petsamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esa Alin having to interfere. With a little luck, EBK's Esa Alin got control of the ball when Jouni Petsamo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rovaniemen pallo seura played a much better game than EBK and deserved their victory. The EBK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
