Spectators: 5927 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aarne Villanen started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Hupiukot's Harri Hautamäki got a free kick in the 4th minute. Osmo Lydman took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erno Kangasmäki. Erno Kangasmäki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Erno Kangasmäki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aarne Villanen went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aarne Villanen in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erno Kangasmäki saved FC Hupiukot from getting behind. 12 minutes into the game, Heikki Grahn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Hupiukot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Ribale the free kick. FC Ribale made a substitution. Elias Vikström replaced Taisto Ristilä. The supporters of FC Ribale booed when FC Hupiukot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heikki Grahn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paavo Nutikka kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Aatos Masalin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aarne Villanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmo Lydman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The FC Ribale fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when FC Ribale's Aarne Villanen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Aarne Villanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes FC Hupiukot got a freekick which was hit by Urho Suominen. In the 39th match minute, FC Ribale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jami Santahuhta to maneuver through the defense.

After 51 minutes, Urho Suominen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hupiukot and the FC Ribale players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Hupiukot's Urho Suominen got a free kick in the 53rd minute. FC Hupiukot's Erno Kangasmäki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hupiukot from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in FC Ribale's zone, Heikki Grahn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juha-Pekka Multaharju came out of the goal and Heikki Grahn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC Hupiukot getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Heikki Grahn hit a great ball. FC Hupiukot's Urho Suominen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Esko Vehanen, made in the 69th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Aarne Villanen fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Erno Kangasmäki, passed just outside the right post. Erno Kangasmäki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aarne Villanen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 73 minute of play. After 79 played minutes FC Hupiukot got a freekick which was hit by Harri Hautamäki. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aarne Villanen got free with Erno Kangasmäki in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Hupiukot's Erno Kangasmäki got control of the ball when Aarne Villanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. FC Ribale's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
