Jalmari Grahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petri Grönvall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute of the game, Jaakkima Nieminen landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Seppo Hagelberg fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nilosvaara's protests and gave Seppo Hagelberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st match minute, Nilosvaara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seppo Hagelberg to maneuver through the defense.
