After having played for 4 minutes, Jimi Mustonen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Rantapallot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimi Mustonen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Rantapallot's zone, Aapo Nummelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petteri Ollonen came out of the goal and Aapo Nummelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th play minute Jimi Mustonen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Veli Mattila. 1-0. Petteri Ollonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Risto Sivonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salomo Markkula struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Veli Mattila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rantapallot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimi Mustonen got free with Veli Mattila in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Rantapallot booed when Prustvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iiro Grönvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute of the match Atro Puumala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Veli Mattila showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimi Mustonen got free with Veli Mattila in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Rantapallot booed when Prustvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Kotilahti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atro Puumala took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Veli Mattila. Salomo Markkula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Veli Mattila having to interfere. Veli Mattila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salomo Markkula in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Risto Sivonen made a kick off. Petteri Ollonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Risto Sivonen in the 59th minute of the match. Niilo Sihvonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Prustvik getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Saul Kotilahti hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimi Mustonen in the 75th minute of play forced Prustvik's goalkeeper Veli Mattila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salomo Markkula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, FC Rantapallot's goal looked a bit too open when Iiro Grönvall came free, but Petteri Ollonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Jimi Mustonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veli Mattila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prustvik's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
