Kari Poikolainen ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Jyri Myllylä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Perhon Kiri's Sami Lähteenmäki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kari Poikolainen in the 90th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Kari Poikolainen in the 92nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Isko Forsman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sami Lähteenmäki having to make a save. Kari Poikolainen struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Sami Lähteenmäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapinjärvi.
