The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tero Valkealahti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erno Virtala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Sonboda FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petri Saarelainen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Aappo Mikkola struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Jesse Lehtimäki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sonboda FC. Aarni Nyyssönen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sonboda FC's Aarni Nyyssönen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toni Manninen during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 39 minutes into the game, Tuira Kings's Tero Valkealahti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erno Virtala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Tuira Kings's Tero Valkealahti got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Aarni Nyyssönen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesse Lehtimäki having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Pasi Lumme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sonboda FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tuira Kings were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Aarni Nyyssönen made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sonboda FC's goalkeeper Erno Virtala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Sonboda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tero Valkealahti came free, but Erno Virtala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Joni Poikolainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Aarni Nyyssönen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesse Lehtimäki. Tuira Kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aarni Nyyssönen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Tero Valkealahti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erno Virtala. That made the score 1-3 in the 77 minute of play. In the 86th minute, one of Tuira Kings:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tuira Kings. The referee gave Sonboda FC a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ilkka Hautamäki, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tuira Kings's Jesse Lehtimäki. 2-3. Jesse Lehtimäki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pasi Lumme, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The Tuira Kings players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
