Spectators: 6777 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 0) Lapinjärvi's Isko Forsman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sonboda FC's goalkeeper Erno Virtala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute, Keijo Kouhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Sonboda FC's Aarni Nyyssönen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimo Järventie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anttoni Parkkali during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Erno Virtala came out of the goal and Kari Poikolainen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kari Poikolainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The wind increased when Aarni Nyyssönen made the kick off in the second half. Isko Forsman struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Erno Virtala didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lapinjärvi. Kari Poikolainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isko Forsman did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Erno Virtala 54 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Sonboda FC's Ilkka Hautamäki got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Isko Forsman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isko Forsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute Isko Forsman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erno Virtala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isko Forsman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erno Virtala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Kari Poikolainen had several of the Sonboda FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Erno Virtala as he didn't even see the shot coming. Isko Forsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erno Virtala having to interfere. Pasi Lumme's late challenge caught a Lapinjärvi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pasi Lumme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Sonboda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pasi Lumme to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Lapinjärvi's Isko Forsman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Anttoni Parkkali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erno Virtala having to interfere. Lapinjärvi's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
