Perhon Kiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antti Piekkanen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pietari Penttilä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuutti Erkkilä having to interfere. If Pietari Penttilä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Heino Kousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paalasmaa FC's Ilkka Niinimäki got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Antti Piekkanen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antti Piekkanen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perhon Kiri's Jarkko Seikola pulled a muscle in his back after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Heino Kousa charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heino Kousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Heino Kousa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Pietari Penttilä got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pietari Lahtela during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ilkka Niinimäki scored 2-4 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sami Lähteenmäki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilkka Niinimäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sami Lähteenmäki having to interfere. Eerikki Seva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sami Lähteenmäki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Ilkka Niinimäki might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sami Lähteenmäki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ilkka Niinimäki ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Pietari Penttilä managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perhon Kiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Pietari Penttilä was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuutti Erkkilä breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Eerikki Seva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
