An unexpectedly hard shot by Launo Myllyniemi in the 9th minute of play forced Rieponlahti FC's goalkeeper Keijo Ollonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Launo Myllyniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaj Ahola hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vätti's zone, Esa Tallus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petri Mäkinen came out of the goal and Esa Tallus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aukusti Hakala in the 23rd minute of play forced Rieponlahti FC's goalkeeper Keijo Ollonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keijo Ollonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Launo Myllyniemi in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Esa Tallus in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petri Mäkinen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Auvo Pyörälä received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Petri Mäkinen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Esa Tallus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rieponlahti FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esa Tallus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petri Mäkinen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keijo Ollonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aukusti Hakala in the 32nd minute of the match. Auvo Pyörälä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Aukusti Hakala came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Vätti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aukusti Hakala couldn't finish the play. When Vätti's Launo Myllyniemi in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rieponlahti FC's goalie prevented a goal. 40 minutes into the game, Severi Uitto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rieponlahti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vätti the free kick. Severi Uitto kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aukusti Hakala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keijo Ollonen was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Launo Myllyniemi to make the kick off. During the 61st minute of the match Severi Uitto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Severi Uitto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Vätti booed when Rieponlahti FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severi Uitto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rieponlahti FC's Keijo Ollonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rieponlahti FC from getting a goal against them. Auvo Pyörälä struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Petri Mäkinen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rieponlahti FC. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 94th match minute, Vätti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Ahola to maneuver through the defense. Aukusti Hakala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rieponlahti FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
