An unexpectedly hard shot by Raine Karvinen in the 44th minute of play forced Karlsdal FC's goalkeeper Paavo Pitkämäki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Karlsdal FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Syvari were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reima Kimmonen to strike the kick off in the second half. Syvari's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
