The Syvari fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Syvari's Raine Karvinen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 20 minutes into the match, Syvari's goal looked a bit too open when Jalmari Keskinarkaus came free, but Karmo Haav reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Jalmari Keskinarkaus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Karmo Haav, passed just outside the right post. The Pätiälä fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herman Viljamaa should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taito Ojanen during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Syvari booed when Pätiälä was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taito Ojanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jalmari Keskinarkaus to strike the kick off in the second half. Syvari's Karmo Haav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niilo Lumme in the 53rd minute of play. When Vili Keskinarkaus fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Syvari's protests and gave Vili Keskinarkaus a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Syvari getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vili Keskinarkaus hit a great ball. When Tero Koivumäki came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Syvari fans jumped to their feet. In the 86th minute, Syvari's Raine Karvinen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herman Viljamaa. Herman Viljamaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aukusti Hautaoja in the 90th minute of the match. Syvari's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
