The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8thth minute of the game Auvo Ikola who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Hooligans's Tarmo Santahuhta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarmo Santahuhta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Auvo Ikola's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Elmer Leinonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaapo Siren in the 18th minute of play. Kalevi Kanerva kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Auvo Ikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tarmo Santahuhta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 27 minutes on the clock, Eemeli Voutilainen commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 27th minute, one of FC Hooligans:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Hooligans. When Artturi Pyörälä came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC Hooligans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artturi Pyörälä couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Päiviö Kokkila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Artturi Pyörälä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Artturi Pyörälä's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elmer Leinonen was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Alvi Kirjonen's late challenge caught a FC Hooligans's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aleksanteri Wahlroos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafael Lähitie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The goalkeeper, Tarmo Santahuhta, was totally fooled by Kuutamon Kelittäjät's Sulo Koivumäki, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artturi Pyörälä in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elmer Leinonen prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
