If Launo Myllyniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vätti's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aurel Arseni was slow to take the kick. During this time Syvari's players had a chance to rest. Aurel Arseni made a great header on Syvari's corner, it was just that Vätti's Petri Mäkinen managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Kaj Ahola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petri Mäkinen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aukusti Hautaoja, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute.
