Visa Holappa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sipi Helin went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 17 played minutes Metalupuass got a freekick which was hit by Kerkko Paavola. Sipi Helin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Visa Holappa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sipi Helin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute of the match Metalupuass got a corner. Venejärvi IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sauli Metsberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Risto Koivuranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Visa Holappa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Visa Holappa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Risto Koivuranta in the 43rd minute of the match. Metalupuass's Rafael Haapaniemi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Grönholm in the 52nd minute of play. Jyrki Peltonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rafael Haapaniemi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Haapaniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Grönholm in the 59th minute of play. Jyrki Peltonen struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Rafael Haapaniemi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venejärvi IFK. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Jyrki Peltonen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venejärvi IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jyrki Peltonen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
