The audience thought a goal was coming when Juho Piekkanen got free with Rafael Haapaniemi in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Metalupuass's Kerkko Paavola in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarflaks FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Risto Koivuranta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metalupuass's supporters rose to their feet, but Risto Koivuranta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Luotonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Risto Koivuranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Klaus Luotonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute of the match, Juho Piekkanen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafael Haapaniemi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute Risto Koivuranta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus Luotonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sipi Helin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Luotonen having to interfere. In the 26th minute of the match Aarto Myllys sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Haapaniemi skillfully saved the ball. Kerkko Paavola hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rafael Haapaniemi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juho Piekkanen in the 29th minute. After 30 played minutes Metalupuass got a freekick which was hit by Kerkko Paavola. When Sarflaks FC's Aatto Jokilahti in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metalupuass's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, Risto Koivuranta made a precise shot to the right of Klaus Luotonen. Sarflaks FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Metalupuass's Sulho Hautaniemi got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half Metalupuass were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sipi Helin made the kick off in the second half. Sarflaks FC's Klaus Luotonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Sarflaks FC from getting a goal against them. Risto Koivuranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Luotonen having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Sipi Helin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarflaks FC's Klaus Luotonen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Risto Koivuranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Klaus Luotonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sarflaks FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Valtteri Kahra hit a great ball. Metalupuass's Sipi Helin got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sarflaks FC's Klaus Luotonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Sarflaks FC from getting a goal against them. Klaus Luotonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sipi Helin in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sarflaks FC's Valtteri Kahra got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Sarflaks FC's goalkeeper Klaus Luotonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Risto Koivuranta. If Sipi Helin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aatto Jokilahti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sipi Helin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sipi Helin in the 95th minute of play forced Sarflaks FC's goalkeeper Klaus Luotonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Metalupuass played a much better game than Sarflaks FC and deserved their victory. The Sarflaks FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
