With a little luck, Naskalin Kaverit ry's Joona Kotilahti got control of the ball when Juho Piekkanen tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, one of Naskalin Kaverit ry:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Naskalin Kaverit ry. Sarflaks FC's Klaus Luotonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antto Kinnaslampi in the 29th minute of play. Joona Kotilahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aatto Jokilahti in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarflaks FC's goalkeeper Klaus Luotonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Aatto Jokilahti made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sarflaks FC's zone, Turo Vähä stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Luotonen came out of the goal and Turo Vähä tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 53 minutes, Antto Kinnaslampi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naskalin Kaverit ry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antto Kinnaslampi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute, Valtteri Kahra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Sarflaks FC's goalkeeper Klaus Luotonen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antto Kinnaslampi. 59 minutes into the match, Naskalin Kaverit ry's goal looked a bit too open when Juho Piekkanen came free, but Joona Kotilahti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joona Kotilahti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aatto Jokilahti in the 67th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Juho Piekkanen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joona Kotilahti. Naskalin Kaverit ry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juho Piekkanen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Turo Vähä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Luotonen having to interfere. When Juho Piekkanen came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sarflaks FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juho Piekkanen couldn't finish the play. Antto Kinnaslampi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klaus Luotonen having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Kustavi Kaivola mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naskalin Kaverit ry and the Sarflaks FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 played minutes Naskalin Kaverit ry got a freekick which was hit by Kustavi Kaivola. Juho Piekkanen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joona Kotilahti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Sarflaks FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Naskalin Kaverit ry for a fine match.
