Spectators: 7762 (Terracing: 5823, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ilmo Noponen kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jani Loukonen during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tennäs FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Henrik Vallin went to the wrong direction when Jimi Hautaoja was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Kustavi Ojansuu scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Vallin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 minutes, Atro Korhonen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liikkala IFK and the Tennäs FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Liikkala IFK's Atro Korhonen got a free kick in the 16th minute. Onni Alatalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmo Noponen, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Onni Alatalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmo Noponen in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tennäs FC's Kustaa Levokari got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Liikkala IFK's Onni Alatalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilmo Noponen in the 27th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Kustavi Ojansuu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liikkala IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kustavi Ojansuu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Vallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ilkka Uusitalo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Onni Alatalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tennäs FC. Onni Alatalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmo Noponen in the 54th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Liikkala IFK's Kustavi Ojansuu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrik Vallin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kustavi Ojansuu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Henrik Vallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kustavi Ojansuu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Vallin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tennäs FC's Kustaa Levokari got a free kick in the 70th minute. Sampo Vatanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Vallin having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Ilmo Noponen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Onni Alatalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Onni Suoste's late challenge caught a Liikkala IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Onni Suoste helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Tennäs FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Onni Suoste to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Sampo Vatanen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Henrik Vallin. The goal made the score 1-3. The Liikkala IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liikkala IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
