Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Tyni Katila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västersund's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyni Katila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janne Vuorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Kananen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petri Rissanen in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Västersund's Sulo Olkkonen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janne Vuorio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonne Somervuori during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonne Somervuori hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 21 minutes of play FC Lasinilkat's Jonne Somervuori was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, FC Lasinilkat's Jonne Somervuori got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Janne Vuorio made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Tyni Katila sent off a good shot on target. Sulo Olkkonen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Vuorio having to interfere. Heimo Välivaara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Peter Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Jyrki Metsäranta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janne Vuorio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tyni Katila in the 37th minute. Tyni Katila who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Janne Vuorio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After the first half FC Lasinilkat were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sulo Olkkonen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tyni Katila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Saul Niemelä took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Peter Kananen to make any attempt to save it. Janne Vuorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyni Katila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tyni Katila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Janne Vuorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Heimo Välivaara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Kananen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Heikki Konttila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västersund's supporters rose to their feet, but Heikki Konttila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janne Vuorio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Lasinilkat had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
