Tahvo Pikkarainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, PSY's goal looked a bit too open when Atte Forsman came free, but Tahvo Pikkarainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 18 minutes, Aaro Kuki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PSY's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaro Kuki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mauri Väänänen was a little too slow when Reko Hannukainen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, Fc Baljars's Oliver Viinanen got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, PSY's Reko Hannukainen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauri Väänänen. Mauri Väänänen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. With a little luck, Fc Baljars's Mauri Väänänen got control of the ball when Aaro Kuki tried to sneak it across the goal line. PSY's Tahvo Pikkarainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Laaksonen in the 34th minute of play. After 34 minutes, Osmo Vainio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Baljars and the PSY players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Fc Baljars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmo Vainio to maneuver through the defense. Kaapo Okkonen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the PSY defense, August Laaksonen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tahvo Pikkarainen. The PSY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tahvo Pikkarainen should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, PSY's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Viinanen came free, but Tahvo Pikkarainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tahvo Pikkarainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atte Forsman in the 45th minute of the match. When August Laaksonen came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Fc Baljars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that August Laaksonen couldn't finish the play.

Atte Forsman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tahvo Pikkarainen having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Aaro Kuki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by August Laaksonen in the 61st minute of play forced PSY's goalkeeper Tahvo Pikkarainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
