Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elmeri Lagerblom in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Kananen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sulo Olkkonen charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sulo Olkkonen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sulo Olkkonen hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. When Anttoni Hurme came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Mikkolanpelto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anttoni Hurme couldn't finish the play. Tommi Salmela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyni Katila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Sulo Olkkonen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tommi Salmela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peter Kananen made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Elmeri Lagerblom sent off a good shot on target. Radko Dragov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Kananen having to interfere. Peter Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Knut Immonen came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Västersund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Knut Immonen couldn't finish the play. Aarne Hujanen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Radko Dragov got free with Peter Kananen in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommi Salmela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aukusti Palander in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Västersund's Peter Kananen got control of the ball when Tony Sillgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikkolanpelto's Tommi Salmela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Knut Immonen in the 42nd minute of play. When Tony Sillgren fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mikkolanpelto's protests and gave Tony Sillgren a yellow card for diving instead. Tony Sillgren hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Desiderio Maurino made a kick off. With a little luck, Mikkolanpelto's Tommi Salmela got control of the ball when Tyni Katila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anttoni Hurme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Peter Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radko Dragov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antreas Laatikainen charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 82nd minute, Desiderio Maurino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Kananen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Elmo Haanpää might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Kananen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elmo Haanpää ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radko Dragov in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Kananen saved Västersund from getting behind. After 89 minutes of play, Mikkolanpelto's Stig Dalberg made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Kananen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 92 minutes, Stig Dalberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mikkolanpelto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig Dalberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tony Sillgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Dalberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Peter Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mikkolanpelto had played much better football throughout.
