Lindal IFK's Karri Viitaluoma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Lindal IFK from getting a goal against them. Karri Viitaluoma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paavali Haarala in the 5th minute of play. Rauli Huttunen kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Voitto Vappula struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Kuisma Ripatti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lindal IFK. Paavali Haarala sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes of play, Kautiala FC's Paavali Haarala made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karri Viitaluoma was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Pikkarainen got free with Karri Viitaluoma in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Voitto Vappula came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lindal IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Voitto Vappula couldn't finish the play. Lindal IFK's Karri Viitaluoma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Lindal IFK from getting a goal against them. Karri Viitaluoma made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Mikael Pikkarainen sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Kautiala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Voitto Vappula came free, but Kuisma Ripatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Voitto Vappula made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Voitto Vappula reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kuisma Ripatti. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Voitto Vappula in the 63rd minute of play forced Kautiala FC's goalkeeper Kuisma Ripatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kuisma Ripatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Klaus Vähäsavo went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Lindal IFK's Voitto Vappula got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kautiala FC booed when Lindal IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viljo Petriläinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karri Viitaluoma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paavali Haarala in the 79th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Jani Kuuri in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Lindal IFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sampo Heinikallio in the 91st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Kuisma Ripatti successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Voitto Vappula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Kuisma Ripatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lindal IFK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
