Rauli Huttunen hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Samuel Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kattfittliden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Jari Raukko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kuisma Ripatti was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Kattfittliden's Jari Raukko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kuisma Ripatti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jari Raukko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuisma Ripatti having to interfere. Klaus Pitkänen's late challenge caught a Kattfittliden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaus Pitkänen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Kattfittliden. Jari Raukko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kuisma Ripatti. 0-4. After having played for 35 minutes, Samuel Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kattfittliden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kautiala FC's Kuisma Ripatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Eate in the 37th minute of play. Jari Raukko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kuisma Ripatti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jari Raukko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Jari Raukko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kattfittliden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paavali Haarala to make the kick off. Mikael Pikkarainen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timo Kortelainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Kuisma Ripatti came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Kattfittliden's Samuel Eate. But to his dismay, Samuel Eate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Kuisma Ripatti was a little too slow when Jari Raukko got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-7. Jari Raukko charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jari Raukko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kattfittliden getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jari Raukko hit a great ball. If Mikael Pikkarainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antero Heino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Timo Kortelainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jari Raukko came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Kattfittliden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jari Raukko couldn't finish the play. If Samuel Eate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Eate succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-8. Kuisma Ripatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Pires in the 91st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Albert Uotila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cauã Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Eate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
