After some careless play in the Manchester City defense, Samuel Eate kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tino Piispa. The Manchester City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tino Piispa should have stopped the shot. When Samuel Eate came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Kattfittliden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Eate couldn't finish the play. After the first half Kattfittliden were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Eate was the one to do the kick off. Jari Raukko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Tino Piispa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Eate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Tino Piispa made a huge save. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Kattfittliden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miko Wahlroos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Samuel Eate managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kattfittliden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Eate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Voitto Ilola hit a great ball. Samuel Eate in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tino Piispa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Timo Kortelainen came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester City's Hannes Kaikkonen. But to his dismay, Hannes Kaikkonen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Tino Piispa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rami Ketola. The long shot by Rami Ketola in the 94th minute really tested Tino Piispa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tino Piispa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jari Raukko went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Kattfittliden's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
