Timo Kortelainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Kaarniemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kattfittliden's Jari Raukko got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 42 played minutes Äetsä FC got a freekick which was hit by Paavo Haanpää. Timo Kortelainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juho Rönkkö in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Eate to make the kick off. Arvo Mäntylä could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Timo Kortelainen made a huge save. Juho Rönkkö sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kattfittliden's Timo Kortelainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juho Rönkkö in the 62nd minute of play. The goalkeeper, Timo Kortelainen, was totally fooled by Äetsä FC's Juhani Palolahti, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 76 minutes into the game, Samuel Eate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tero Tammisto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cauã Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81stth minute of the game Albert Uotila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Äetsä FC's Tero Tammisto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rikhard Wallden charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rikhard Wallden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes Äetsä FC got a freekick which was hit by Rikhard Wallden. Albert Uotila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
