If Tommi Paananen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 6 minutes, Tommi Paananen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Solvinsbäcken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommi Paananen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Solvinsbäcken's Eero Virtanen got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harri Tarvajärvi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Markku Kokkonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Solvinsbäcken:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Blacksmith Villagers FC:s goal. Blacksmith Villagers FC's Antti Rintala got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Artturi Vehmanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommi Paananen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Topi Sainomaa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. When Eero Virtanen came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Solvinsbäcken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eero Virtanen couldn't finish the play. Eero Virtanen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Topi Sainomaa having to make a save. When Eero Virtanen came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Solvinsbäcken fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eero Virtanen couldn't finish the play. Nikodemus Nybacka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tommi Paananen to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Blacksmith Villagers FC's zone, Tommi Paananen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Topi Sainomaa came out of the goal and Tommi Paananen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Solvinsbäcken's Eero Virtanen got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Salomo Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Topi Sainomaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommi Paananen in the 69th minute of play. Topi Sainomaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommi Paananen, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eero Virtanen got free with Topi Sainomaa in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eero Virtanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eero Virtanen got free with Topi Sainomaa in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Antti Rintala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blacksmith Villagers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0.
