In the 3rd minute, Aatos Leino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gabriel Ramstadius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keimo Kananen having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Perinkää FC's Pekka Tallus seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pekka Tallus the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Perinkää FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pekka Tallus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 9 minutes into the game, one of Perinkää FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 15th minute, Hannu Paajanen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keimo Kananen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Perinkää FC's Launo Pasanen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marko Heikkinen, made in the 19th minute of the game. If Aatos Leino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Hannu Paajanen made a precise shot to the right of Keimo Kananen. Kylmälä's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. If Antti Holmström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hannu Paajanen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Keimo Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Vaakanainen spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Kylmälä's goal. Kylmälä's Keimo Kananen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aatos Leino in the 38th minute of play. In the 45th play minute Päiviö Koponen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elias Tarvajärvi. 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antti Holmström to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aatos Leino got free with Keimo Kananen in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aatos Leino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Keimo Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Päiviö Koponen fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kylmälä's protests and gave Päiviö Koponen a yellow card for diving instead. After 55 played minutes Kylmälä got a freekick which was hit by Päiviö Koponen. If Herman Noronen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hannu Paajanen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannu Paajanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keimo Kananen having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perttu Kankaanperä in the 66th minute of play forced Kylmälä's goalkeeper Keimo Kananen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aatos Leino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Keimo Kananen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keimo Kananen came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Perinkää FC's Aatos Leino. But to his dismay, Aatos Leino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Joonas Tukio hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Hannu Paajanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keimo Kananen having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Aatos Leino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keimo Kananen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. In the 86th minute, Aatos Leino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Aatos Leino came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Perinkää FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aatos Leino couldn't finish the play. Herman Noronen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hannu Paajanen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keimo Kananen having to interfere. Hannu Paajanen might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keimo Kananen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hannu Paajanen ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match was over Perinkää FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kylmälä throughout the match.
