Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pentti Halminen started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Helmeri's Matti Rämö got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Aarre Kylmänen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pasi Reinikainen came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen. But to his dismay, Pentti Halminen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Pentti Halminen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kosamo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pentti Halminen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pasi Reinikainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32ndth minute of the game Pentti Halminen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Helmeri's Pasi Reinikainen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aarre Kylmänen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pasi Reinikainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th match minute, Kosamo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aarre Kylmänen to maneuver through the defense. Pentti Halminen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Pasi Reinikainen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute Samuel Niemivirta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pasi Reinikainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pentti Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pasi Reinikainen having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 59th minute Pentti Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pasi Reinikainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pentti Halminen in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pasi Reinikainen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Pentti Halminen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute Pentti Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pasi Reinikainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Niemivirta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pasi Reinikainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Kosamo FC's Aarre Kylmänen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pasi Reinikainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 90 played minutes, Kosamo FC's Olli-Pekka Siltanen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kosamo FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aarre Kylmänen in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Helmeri's goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kosamo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Samuel Niemivirta in the 93rd minute. FC Helmeri's Pasi Reinikainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pentti Halminen in the 96th minute of play.
