After having played for 3 minutes, Rainer Kärki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Öjnaa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rainer Kärki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Singsby HF's Iisakki Palonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Singsby HF from getting a goal against them. Ilkka Kuusiniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oiva Kärnä in the 6th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Öjnaa got a freekick which was hit by Mika Reinikka. In the 10th minute, Oiva Kärnä ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilkka Kuusiniemi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 13th minute, Öjnaa's Rainer Kärki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iisakki Palonen. Iisakki Palonen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 15th minute, Rami Häkkinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Ahto Palenius made a precise shot to the right of Ilkka Kuusiniemi. Öjnaa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Herman Kangasniemi fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Öjnaa's protests and gave Herman Kangasniemi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute, Herman Kangasniemi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iisakki Palonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Kärki, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Allan Jokilahti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Iisakki Palonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rainer Kärki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rainer Kärki struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Iisakki Palonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Öjnaa. Ilkka Kuusiniemi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oiva Kärnä went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, Oiva Kärnä left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Singsby HF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-5 lead.
Iiro Rosendahl charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iiro Rosendahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 54 minutes into the game, Öjnaa's Allan Jokilahti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iisakki Palonen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. 56 minutes into the game, Panu Palonen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Öjnaa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Singsby HF the free kick. In the 57th minute, Panu Palonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Öjnaa's Tauno Viljamaa got a free kick in the 60th minute. Iisakki Sammalkangas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilkka Kuusiniemi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Rami Häkkinen came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Öjnaa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rami Häkkinen couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-6 when Ahto Palenius sped through Öjnaa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilkka Kuusiniemi. The crowd rose to their feet as Oiva Kärnä kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ilkka Kuusiniemi. That made the score 3-7 in the 69 minute of play. Klaus Kärnä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iisakki Palonen having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Öjnaa got a freekick which was hit by Rami Häkkinen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oiva Kärnä in the 82nd minute of play forced Öjnaa's goalkeeper Ilkka Kuusiniemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilkka Kuusiniemi made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Ahto Palenius sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Öjnaa booed when Singsby HF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahto Palenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilkka Kuusiniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oiva Kärnä in the 91st minute of the match. The supporters of Singsby HF booed when Öjnaa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rami Häkkinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilkka Kuusiniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahto Palenius in the 97th minute of play. The Öjnaa fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Singsby HF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
