FC Helmeri's supporters rose to their feet, but Pasi Hentunen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pasi Reinikainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aimo Kurri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lintuvuori FC's Santeri Airisto got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Mikko Alanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Helmeri's attentive Hannu Karjala managed to snatch the ball when Teemu Miinalainen made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game.

The wind increased when Pasi Hentunen made the kick off in the second half. FC Helmeri's Pasi Reinikainen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Helmeri from getting a goal against them. Pasi Reinikainen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Valto Kotilahti. A collision led to FC Helmeri getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Risto Koponen hit a great ball. Lintuvuori FC's Aimo Kurri got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Helmeri were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Lintuvuori FC to leave the ground with a draw.
