Filomeno Fiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julius Suominen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lintuvuori FC booed when Kosamo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miikka Elovaara didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pentti Halminen in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jyrki Puutio saved Lintuvuori FC from getting behind. After 21 played minutes Lintuvuori FC got a freekick which was hit by Julius Suominen. Aarre Kylmänen struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jyrki Puutio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kosamo FC. Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Voitto Martikainen during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kosamo FC booed when Lintuvuori FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Voitto Martikainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simo Puurula charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simo Puurula the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Lintuvuori FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simo Puurula to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes in the game, Aimo Kurri fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Filomeno Fiz having to interfere. A hard shot 36 in the game by Aimo Kurri from a close distance when the talented Filomeno Fiz managed to make a qualified save. Kosamo FC's players were relieved. In the 39th minute of the match Vesa Kinnaslampi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jyrki Puutio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 40th minute Pentti Halminen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jyrki Puutio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pentti Halminen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pentti Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jyrki Puutio having to interfere. If Pentti Halminen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pentti Halminen made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Kosamo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aimo Kurri came free, but Filomeno Fiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Valto Kotilahti shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filomeno Fiz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Pentti Halminen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jyrki Puutio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A hard shot by Petteri Grönvall from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Jyrki Puutio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. During the 72nd minute of the match Voitto Martikainen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Voitto Martikainen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Voitto Martikainen hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Mikko Alanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lintuvuori FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikko Alanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Fiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 80 minutes into the game, Samuel Niemivirta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kosamo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lintuvuori FC the free kick. Samuel Niemivirta kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jyrki Puutio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Pentti Halminen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Niemivirta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jyrki Puutio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Pentti Halminen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosamo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pentti Halminen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. From close distance Pentti Halminen pressed in the 0-3 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 95 minutes into the game. Kosamo FC played a much better game than Lintuvuori FC and deserved their victory. The Lintuvuori FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
