The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Lintuvuori FC's zone, Sami Hietaharju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jyrki Puutio came out of the goal and Sami Hietaharju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jyrki Puutio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskari Torkkeli in the 14th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Puromäki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jyrki Pölönen to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Perttu Vestman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Sami Hietaharju cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jyrki Puutio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Puromäki getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jyrki Pölönen hit a great ball. Oskari Torkkeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jyrki Puutio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Joni Hagman notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Lintuvuori FC's Jyrki Puutio. Jyrki Puutio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The excitement rose when Puromäki's Anssi Vähäsalo after 82 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Lintuvuori FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 5-1. In the 87th match minute, Puromäki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskari Torkkeli to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the game, Aimo Kurri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lintuvuori FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puromäki the free kick. Lintuvuori FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sami Hietaharju was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. Puromäki were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lintuvuori FC for a fine match.
