Spectators: 8419 (Terracing: 6315, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 168) 4 minutes into the game, Åbo United's Into Wallden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pasi Reinikainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Janne Paananen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Kurri having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Into Wallden in the 12th minute of play forced FC Helmeri's goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pasi Reinikainen came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Åbo United's Ilkka Siltavirta. But to his dismay, Ilkka Siltavirta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in FC Helmeri's zone, Into Wallden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasi Reinikainen came out of the goal and Into Wallden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, FC Helmeri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santeri Leonoff to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Into Wallden made a precise shot to the right of Pasi Reinikainen. FC Helmeri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Into Wallden struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Pasi Reinikainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åbo United. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Paranaense in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Helmeri's goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pasi Reinikainen came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Åbo United's Into Wallden. But to his dismay, Into Wallden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Into Wallden made the kick off in the second half. Sulo Brinck's late challenge caught a FC Helmeri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sulo Brinck helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Åbo United's Sulo Brinck got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Helmeri's zone, Into Wallden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pasi Reinikainen came out of the goal and Into Wallden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Åbo United's Ilkka Siltavirta suffered a sore thigh after 56 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Hannu Karjala fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Helmeri's protests and gave Hannu Karjala a yellow card for diving instead. Åbo United's Sadurni Reñe was substituted for Ilkka Siltavirta. In the 58th match minute, FC Helmeri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannu Karjala to maneuver through the defense. If Janne Paananen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Paranaense in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Helmeri's goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Into Wallden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pasi Reinikainen having to make a save. Pasi Hentunen hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Aapo Kurri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janne Paananen in the 70th minute of the match. Into Wallden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pasi Reinikainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Rubens Paranaense blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pasi Reinikainen having to make a save. After having played for 79 minutes, Rubens Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åbo United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubens Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Risto Koponen charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Risto Koponen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Helmeri's Risto Koponen got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Into Wallden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Pasi Reinikainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Janne Paananen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pasi Reinikainen didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Åbo United's Into Wallden shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. When the final whistle sounded Åbo United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Helmeri.
