Nencho Avdzhiev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pasi Reinikainen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Ertuğrul Toygar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janne Paananen in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Pasi Hentunen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Helmeri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pasi Hentunen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Helmeri's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Nencho Avdzhiev scored to the left of an out of position Pasi Reinikainen, making the score, 1-0. Pasi Reinikainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Antzas in the 21st minute of play. Kim Koivuranta made in the 22nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Janne Paananen. Nencho Avdzhiev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Pasi Reinikainen made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remi Lindquist in the 27th minute of play forced FC Helmeri's goalkeeper Pasi Reinikainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute ARSEPOOL FC were awarded a corner. Iosif Antzas went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 30th minute, Nencho Avdzhiev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pasi Reinikainen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Pasi Reinikainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Lindquist in the 34th minute of the match. Nencho Avdzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Pasi Reinikainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pasi Reinikainen was a little too slow when Remi Lindquist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 40th minute Remi Lindquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pasi Reinikainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pasi Reinikainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nencho Avdzhiev in the 42nd minute. Kim Koivuranta kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pasi Hentunen was the one to do the kick off. FC Helmeri's Janne Paananen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Carlo Tassotti, made in the 51st minute of the game. Eugeniusz Bondel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Pasi Reinikainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Iosif Antzas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Iosif Antzas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARSEPOOL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iosif Antzas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Remi Lindquist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pasi Reinikainen. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 83 minutes into the match, ARSEPOOL FC's Eugeniusz Bondel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pasi Reinikainen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Helmeri's Pasi Reinikainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remi Lindquist in the 84th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ARSEPOOL FC's Eugeniusz Bondel got a free kick in the 85th minute. A hard and well directed shot from Risto Koponen led 86 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. ARSEPOOL FC's Ertuğrul Toygar became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-1. If Iosif Antzas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the FC Helmeri defense, Nencho Avdzhiev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pasi Reinikainen. The FC Helmeri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pasi Reinikainen should have stopped the shot. In the 95th match minute, ARSEPOOL FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iosif Antzas to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the ARSEPOOL FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
