Spectators: 8425 (Terracing: 6319, Seating: 1938, VIP seats: 168) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Into Wallden kicked off to start the match. Aapo Kurri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aarre Kylmänen in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Aarre Kylmänen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Åbo United's Aapo Kurri. Aapo Kurri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Samuel Niemivirta hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When Martti Jatkola fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åbo United's protests and gave Martti Jatkola a yellow card for diving instead. 11 minutes into the game, one of Åbo United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Aapo Kurri had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Pentti Halminen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Åbo United's zone, Pentti Halminen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aapo Kurri came out of the goal and Pentti Halminen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Pentti Halminen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kosamo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pentti Halminen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th match minute, Åbo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilkka Siltavirta to maneuver through the defense. Pentti Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Kurri having to interfere. Filomeno Fiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Into Wallden in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute, Kosamo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rubens Paranaense fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Aarre Kylmänen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Kurri having to interfere. In the 38th minute of the match Simo Kangasalusta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aapo Kurri skillfully saved the ball. Aarre Kylmänen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pentti Halminen was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Aarre Kylmänen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 53 played minutes, Kosamo FC's Simo Kangasalusta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aapo Kurri came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kosamo FC reached it. 57 minutes into the game, Kosamo FC's Pentti Halminen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aapo Kurri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Åbo United's Barnaba Kolbert got a free kick in the 64th minute. Samuel Niemivirta, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Aarre Kylmänen kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Åbo United's Aapo Kurri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pentti Halminen in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute Aarre Kylmänen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aapo Kurri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åbo United's goalkeeper Aapo Kurri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pentti Halminen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aapo Kurri having to interfere. Aapo Kurri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pentti Halminen, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Toufik Morard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Åbo United lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
