Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Urmas Ollikainen got the match started through his kick off. Åbo United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Kerkko Kolsi scored to the left of an out of position Aapo Kurri, making the score, 1-0. Kerkko Kolsi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aapo Kurri came out and tried to block the shot, but Kerkko Kolsi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 8th minute. Kerkko Kolsi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Åbo United's Aapo Kurri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Åbo United from getting a goal against them. Urmas Ollikainen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aapo Kurri having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urmas Ollikainen in the 16th minute of play forced Åbo United's goalkeeper Aapo Kurri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Puromäki's Urmas Ollikainen in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Åbo United's goalie prevented a goal. If Kerkko Kolsi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urmas Ollikainen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aapo Kurri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Esa Tuomisalo fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Into Wallden was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urmas Ollikainen in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aapo Kurri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Puromäki's Urmas Ollikainen, in the 54th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Puromäki. Urmas Ollikainen charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Urmas Ollikainen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Urmas Ollikainen hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Aapo Kurri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerkko Kolsi in the 59th minute of the match. When Åbo United's Into Wallden in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puromäki's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Åbo United defense, Kerkko Kolsi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aapo Kurri. The Åbo United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aapo Kurri should have stopped the shot. After 75 played minutes Puromäki got a freekick which was hit by Jyrki Pölönen. Puromäki made a substitution. Eevert Pisto replaced Kerkko Kolsi. A collision led to Puromäki getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Jyrki Pölönen hit a great ball. Rubens Paranaense struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Sulho Järvenpää didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åbo United. After having played for 81 minutes, Urmas Ollikainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puromäki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urmas Ollikainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd match minute, Åbo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnaba Kolbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åbo United's goalkeeper Aapo Kurri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Taavetti Sairanen's late challenge caught a Åbo United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taavetti Sairanen helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Åbo United's zone, Eevert Pisto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aapo Kurri came out of the goal and Eevert Pisto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Eevert Pisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Klaus Hauhtonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aapo Kurri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Puromäki's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
