After having played for 77 minutes, Tony Murto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kassor IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Murto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sulevi Tuomisalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Pengonpohja IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahto Pihlainen to maneuver through the defense. If Tony Murto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pengonpohja IFK's Armas Pylkäs got control of the ball when Tony Murto tried to sneak it across the goal line.
