Aki Trehkopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Saul Markkula fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tärnebolstad's protests and gave Saul Markkula a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Saul Markkula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th match minute, Helsinki Raptors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aki Trehkopf to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aki Trehkopf in the 16th minute of play forced Tärnebolstad's goalkeeper Sami Veikkanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Markkula was shown his second yellow card after 17 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Saul Markkula kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sami Veikkanen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aki Trehkopf in the 19th minute of the match. Klaus Teräs kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aki Trehkopf in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sami Veikkanen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sakari Murto came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sami Veikkanen could save by the left post. Sami Veikkanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aki Trehkopf, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aki Trehkopf in the 25th minute of play forced Tärnebolstad's goalkeeper Sami Veikkanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ale Eloranta came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Tärnebolstad's Veeti Mansikkamäki. But to his dismay, Veeti Mansikkamäki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marko Mäntylä recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Tärnebolstad's Klaus Teräs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ale Eloranta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Mäntylä in the 34th minute of play forced Helsinki Raptors's goalkeeper Ale Eloranta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Klaus Teräs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Marko Mäntylä had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Helsinki Raptors's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Mäntylä came free, but Ale Eloranta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marko Mäntylä to strike the kick off in the second half. Marko Mäntylä's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ale Eloranta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Tärnebolstad's Sami Veikkanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakari Murto in the 54th minute of play. Tapio Haarala charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tapio Haarala the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marko Mäntylä got free with Ale Eloranta in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Helsinki Raptors's goalkeeper Ale Eloranta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marko Mäntylä. Helsinki Raptors's Aki Trehkopf got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Antti Parkkali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sami Veikkanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Ale Eloranta successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tärnebolstad were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Helsinki Raptors's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Asko Pihlajamäki took the corner. Ale Eloranta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Mäntylä in the 91st minute of play. Klaus Teräs kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Tärnebolstad's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
