A hard shot 15 in the game by Tero Karvonen from a close distance when the talented Henry Sihvonen managed to make a qualified save. Torajärvi IFK's players were relieved. Torajärvi IFK's Henry Sihvonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Hiedanpää in the 16th minute of play. After 20 played minutes, FC Jaguar's Verneri Oravainen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Sihvonen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Jaguar reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Torajärvi IFK's zone, Tero Karvonen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Sihvonen came out of the goal and Tero Karvonen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sakari Kaarniemi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ambro Räsänen went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 32 minutes, Ambro Räsänen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Torajärvi IFK and the FC Jaguar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ambro Räsänen kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Henry Sihvonen was a little too slow when Tony Hiedanpää got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-1. FC Jaguar's Ville Pietikäinen got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sándor Dénes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sakari Kaarniemi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambro Räsänen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tero Karvonen got free with Henry Sihvonen in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tero Karvonen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Torajärvi IFK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lasse Salminen was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Jaguar's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ville Pietikäinen during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ville Pietikäinen kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. FC Jaguar's Sakari Kaarniemi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save FC Jaguar from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Torajärvi IFK booed when FC Jaguar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verneri Oravainen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Verneri Oravainen hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sakari Kaarniemi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joonatan Palo. Kaarlo Myllylä kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Henry Sihvonen came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Jaguar's Tony Hiedanpää. But to his dismay, Tony Hiedanpää quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Tero Karvonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Jaguar's Sándor Dénes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Torajärvi IFK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Stephen Seppo hit a great ball. Henry Sihvonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sándor Dénes, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When Ville Pietikäinen came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Jaguar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ville Pietikäinen couldn't finish the play. FC Jaguar's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
