After 2 played minutes Naarksd got a freekick which was hit by Hannu Lahtinen. From close distance Asmo Siren pressed in the 1-0 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 7 minutes into the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Juhani Hautaoja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karankamäki FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juhani Hautaoja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalervo Häppölä breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Veikka Helkamo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kalervo Häppölä saved Naarksd from getting behind. Hannu Lahtinen's late challenge caught a Karankamäki FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hannu Lahtinen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Karankamäki FC booed when Naarksd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannu Lahtinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asmo Siren hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Naarksd's Kalervo Häppölä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veikka Helkamo in the 19th minute of play. Aleksis Junnila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kalervo Häppölä having to interfere. Karankamäki FC's Inocencio Christobal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Karankamäki FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Juhani Hautaoja hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asmo Siren got free with Celalettin Erduran in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kalervo Häppölä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veikka Helkamo, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Teemu Uotila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Tapio Puutio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Asmo Siren made a kick off. In the 60th match minute, Naarksd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teemu Uotila to maneuver through the defense. Celalettin Erduran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asmo Siren in the 62nd minute of the match. Celalettin Erduran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keijo Nieminen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Veikka Helkamo succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a rather tough play, Karankamäki FC's Inocencio Christobal got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Iiro Luotonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th match minute, Naarksd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teemu Uotila to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Ernst Backlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
