Spectators: 6903 (Terracing: 4800, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 158) 3 minutes into the game, Eemeli Hiedanpää was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ajax Ajax's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Strandbyn the free kick. Eemeli Hiedanpää kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 7th match minute, Strandbyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarvo Ylimäki to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Strandbyn getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jyri Koskinen hit a great ball. Markku Ahmaoja blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kaleva Heinola having to make a save. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Rafael Kiprusoff elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ajax Ajax's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Jyri Koskinen scored to the left of an out of position Kaleva Heinola, making the score, 1-1. After 25 minutes, Heikki Kaipainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strandbyn and the Ajax Ajax players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Strandbyn getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Heikki Kaipainen hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Ilmari Paajanen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ylermi Kanto skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Ajax Ajax getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ilmari Paajanen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyri Koskinen in the 33rd minute of play forced Ajax Ajax's goalkeeper Kaleva Heinola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eemeli Hiedanpää had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eemeli Hiedanpää kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ajax Ajax's goalkeeper Kaleva Heinola, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arsi Kaitainen struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Kaleva Heinola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strandbyn. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Markku Ahmaoja took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Kaleva Heinola to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Petri Lehto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarvo Ylimäki in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaleva Heinola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaleva Heinola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markku Ahmaoja in the 54th minute of play. Kaleva Heinola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arsi Kaitainen's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax Ajax's zone, Jyri Koskinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaleva Heinola came out of the goal and Jyri Koskinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ajax Ajax's Kaleva Heinola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arsi Kaitainen in the 70th minute of play. Jyri Koskinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kaleva Heinola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jyri Koskinen in the 79th minute of the match. Markku Ahmaoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaleva Heinola having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Jyri Koskinen made a precise shot to the right of Kaleva Heinola. Ajax Ajax's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Kaleva Heinola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsi Kaitainen in the 86th minute of play. Arsi Kaitainen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valentin Juujärvi's late challenge caught a Strandbyn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Juujärvi helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes Ajax Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Juujärvi. Ylermi Kanto made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Eemeli Hiedanpää sent off a good shot on target. When the referee ended the match the Strandbyn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
