In the 20th minute Inocencio Christobal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakari Kaarniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Inocencio Christobal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Jaguar's Sakari Kaarniemi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sakari Kaarniemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veikka Helkamo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Sakari Kaarniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juhani Hautaoja in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juhani Hautaoja in the 26th minute of play forced FC Jaguar's goalkeeper Sakari Kaarniemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tero Karvonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute of the match Verneri Oravainen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celalettin Erduran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tero Karvonen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Celalettin Erduran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juhani Hautaoja charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juhani Hautaoja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Karankamäki FC got a freekick which was hit by Juhani Hautaoja. Veikka Helkamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakari Kaarniemi having to interfere. In the 42ndth minute of the game Aleksis Junnila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Jaguar's Sakari Kaarniemi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Jaguar's Ville Pietikäinen got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Inocencio Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakari Kaarniemi having to interfere. After the first half Karankamäki FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tero Karvonen made a kick off. Ernst Backlund's late challenge caught a FC Jaguar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernst Backlund helped the player get up and apologised. Ernst Backlund hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Sakari Kaarniemi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Christobal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Veikka Helkamo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sakari Kaarniemi. FC Jaguar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Veikka Helkamo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Sakari Kaarniemi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inocencio Christobal in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Karankamäki FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tapio Puutio hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Veikka Helkamo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sakari Kaarniemi. The goal made the score 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veikka Helkamo in the 80th minute of play forced FC Jaguar's goalkeeper Sakari Kaarniemi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute Veikka Helkamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sakari Kaarniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Tero Karvonen put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Celalettin Erduran. Jouko Palolahti's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Sakari Kaarniemi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Karankamäki FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
