Cayo Suarez came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ylermi Kanto could save by the left post. Strandbyn's Ylermi Kanto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erno Myllyniemi in the 19th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cayo Suarez to make the kick off. Cayo Suarez hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 61 minutes into the game, Jojo's Cayo Suarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The Jojo fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Jojo's Cayo Suarez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 75th minute, Erno Myllyniemi made a precise shot to the right of Ylermi Kanto. Strandbyn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Ylermi Kanto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus Saira in the 95th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Markku Ahmaoja managed to get in a good position for a shot. Strandbyn's supporters rose to their feet, but Markku Ahmaoja was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sulevi Reinikainen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jojo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Strandbyn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
