The supporters of Härjänvatsa IFK booed when FC KANKKU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orvar Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Antero Nikko from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Guillermo Beila's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Kari Haanpää hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, FC KANKKU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Dobilas to maneuver through the defense. FC KANKKU's Adriano Perna got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC KANKKU getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bogdan Marchefka hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tero Äijälä made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Härjänvatsa IFK got a corner. FC KANKKU's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antero Nikko ran over to the corner to take the kick. 56 minutes into the match, Iiro Heinikallio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eemil Viisala, 0-1. When Bogdan Marchefka came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC KANKKU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Marchefka couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Härjänvatsa IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Marchefka came free, but Eemil Viisala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Härjänvatsa IFK had won after a very even match.
