Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jarmo Kokko made the kick off which started today's match. 11 minutes into the match, Eevert Ruutu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Jazz's Oiva Paappanen. Oiva Paappanen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oiva Paappanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasperi Elomo in the 14th minute of play. Raimo Sulku came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Jazz's Valio Kiviranta. But to his dismay, Valio Kiviranta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Jarkko Lääkkö was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Jazz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parpola the free kick. In the 21st minute Jani Hernesniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimo Sulku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, FC Jazz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakari Ahmaoja to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jani Hernesniemi in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raimo Sulku saved Parpola from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eevert Ruutu got free with Oiva Paappanen in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Eevert Ruutu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Parpola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Oiva Paappanen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eevert Ruutu in the 36th minute of play. Valio Kiviranta scored 2-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raimo Sulku, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute of the match, Jesse Salermo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oiva Paappanen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Valio Kiviranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimo Sulku having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jani Hernesniemi made the kick off in the second half. Oiva Paappanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eevert Ruutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valio Kiviranta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Raimo Sulku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Rauli Eerola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parpola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Jazz the free kick. Rauli Eerola kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Kasperi Elomo charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasperi Elomo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Parpola getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kasperi Elomo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eevert Ruutu in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Jazz's goalkeeper Oiva Paappanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, FC Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Kasperi Elomo came free, but Oiva Paappanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Jarkko Lääkkö put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, FC Jazz's Jarkko Lääkkö got a free kick in the 70th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Parpola's Herman Uotila tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, FC Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Jarmo Kokko came free, but Oiva Paappanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Jazz's Oiva Paappanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasperi Elomo in the 76th minute of play. Oiva Paappanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eevert Ruutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oiva Paappanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarmo Kokko, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Jesse Salermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oiva Paappanen was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, FC Jazz's goal looked a bit too open when Kasperi Elomo came free, but Oiva Paappanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes FC Jazz got a freekick which was hit by Hannu Brunila. 88 minutes into the game, Jarmo Kokko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Oiva Paappanen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 93 minutes into the match, Olli Myllylä had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oiva Paappanen. FC Jazz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olli Myllylä was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. When the referee ended the match the Parpola players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
