When Markus Okkonen fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Parikkala sdfIFK's protests and gave Markus Okkonen a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Parikkala sdfIFK getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Markus Okkonen hit a great ball. Parikkala sdfIFK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Joakim Lumme scored to the left of an out of position Pekka Virolainen, making the score, 1-0. Markus Okkonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute of the match, Joakim Lumme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pekka Virolainen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jyri Etula received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pekka Virolainen came out and tried to block the shot, but Jyri Etula slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Akseli Sulku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konsta Siponen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pekka Virolainen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joakim Lumme in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konsta Siponen in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akseli Sulku prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Parikkala sdfIFK's goalkeeper Pekka Virolainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joakim Lumme. Akseli Sulku stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Konsta Siponen's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jyri Etula in the 32nd minute of play forced Parikkala sdfIFK's goalkeeper Pekka Virolainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Parikkala sdfIFK's goal looked a bit too open when Jyri Etula came free, but Pekka Virolainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, PR Merkkausvirhe's Pekka Virolainen threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jyri Etula, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 39 minutes into the game, Joakim Lumme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pekka Virolainen. Joakim Lumme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Pekka Virolainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jyri Etula, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Akseli Sulku showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anssi Ahmaoja in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Konsta Siponen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akseli Sulku having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Lumme in the 57th minute of play forced Parikkala sdfIFK's goalkeeper Pekka Virolainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, PR Merkkausvirhe's Joakim Lumme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pekka Virolainen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Parikkala sdfIFK's Markus Okkonen got a free kick in the 61st minute. After having played for 62 minutes, Joakim Lumme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PR Merkkausvirhe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joakim Lumme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Parikkala sdfIFK's Pekka Virolainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyri Etula in the 64th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Joakim Lumme made a precise shot to the right of Pekka Virolainen. Parikkala sdfIFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Jyri Etula scored 6-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pekka Virolainen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jyri Etula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pekka Virolainen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Parikkala sdfIFK defense, Joakim Lumme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pekka Virolainen. The Parikkala sdfIFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pekka Virolainen should have stopped the shot. Kaarlo Helminen lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Parikkala sdfIFK getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Kaarlo Helminen hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Parikkala sdfIFK's goal looked a bit too open when Heikki Kilponen came free, but Pekka Virolainen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PR Merkkausvirhe's Akseli Sulku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ossian Viljanen in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Markus Okkonen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parikkala sdfIFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Markus Okkonen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akseli Sulku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Jyri Etula made a precise shot to the right of Pekka Virolainen. Parikkala sdfIFK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. There was no doubt that PR Merkkausvirhe were the better team. PR Merkkausvirhe's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
